Originally called Hub Plate Glass, the company started its business in the late 1920s in which half was eventually sold to Malcom Carver in 1931 & was named National Plate Glass. In 1952, after working in the company for about 12 years, George Carver, Malcom’s son purchased the company with his wife, Frances Budd (pictured above). Today, Frances’ children continue the family legacy today and have a team of 20 professional union glaziers who service commercial work in the Boston area. Some work we have done includes the New England Aquarium, retail malls such as the Natick Mall, the Burlington mall, Copley Place, and Providence Place mall to name a few. We also service hospitals and hotels as well as local office and public buildings including Boston Public Library, Fidelity Investments, Saint Elizabeth’s Hospital, Children’s Hospital, the Hyatt and more. Although we specialize in contract jobs, we willingly repair any customer’s mirror, countertop, table or door at competitive prices.
